My old DartSport now owned by 73DartSport, pump gas 451" low deck(just a 440 crank in a 400 block), half filled, 590 purpleshaft MP cam, CNC ported Eddy heads, 2" headers, M1 tunnel ram, 2 750 Quickfuel carbs, 1.6 Harland Sharp rockers, 6.20's and 9.80's at 3050 total pounds with driver. Most fun and reliable(and streetable) combo I've ever ran.

Edit: I mentioned half fill in the block but I may be wrong, I dont think this 451 had any block filler. The purple 69 Dart had a 500" low deck that was half filled. Aluminum main caps on both motors.

When building a 511 w/ 4.25 crank , can you run aluminum rods without a lot of grinding on the block or better to run steel rods?

Would that low deck block be of the aluminum KB variety

Another question for you guys, say I wanted to replace the 906 heads on my 499 with some better flowing aluminum heads, what would be the best choice without buying different headers, pistons or rocker arms? Thanks!

CNC ported Eddy RPM

Don't the Eddy RPM's require different pistons and/or headers because of the angled spark plugs??

Not unless the pistons are a high dome with a straight cut fireslot across the domes for the spark plugs Some mopars with B and RB motors in certain chassis have a issue with the headers using a set of angled plug heads What chassis and header brand and size primary pipes are you wanting to know about? Sorry to the O.P. about the hijack

THAT`S the magic number right there...........you see these low et`s for the motor at hand and are blown away till you find out the car weighs 2500lbs. It SHOULD run that fast........then there are some that truly have figured something out and have a well sorted out combo............
