What brand do you like for upper and lower ball joints as well as tie rod ends? Talking about a 73 A-body, manual disc brake suspension, with a lot of street driving planned.

For the record I'm also a long time Moog supporter, however I believe they were bought out by Federal Mogul about 10 years ago and that quality has slipped since? I've also heard that Just Suspensions sells a better unit that they sell (someone elses part under private label?). I've heard good things about the professional grade Raybestos parts as well. I'm having a tough time deciding without further input.

I was buying upper ball joints for a Dart and my local Parts store carries several brands, so I did a comparison. I had the counterman bring out Moog, AC Delco and the low line Chassis Parts I think it was called. I opened them all up, and to my surprise, they were all identical! With the identical inspection stamps! Wide price range but all the same parts in different boxes.

Scott , Bill Rolik sells Raybestoes professional grade ... I got lower control arm bushings that look better than the moog I have bought in the not to distant past . I agree , MOOG has gone downhill ....

This is not a knock on Bill Rolik but when I bought new lower ball joints from him 3 years ago, I installed them, went to get the suspension aligned and the alignment shop told me one of the lower ball joints was shot...I replaced the ball joint and sent Bill the one in question....he confirmed it was no good and admitted he had never seen that before...I believe it was a Raybestoes part.... He refunded the money for the part...unfortunately I had to pay the alignment shop for removal of bad ball joint and installation of new.

I was going to buy Raybestoes pro, but a lot of their stuff comes with blue grease seals which would look like you know what. I asked several venders if they would hand select some with black seals, but no one would do that so I bought Moog. Also NAPA has some good stuff.

http://www.mcquaynorris.com/wps/portal/mcquaynorris I think I remember someone on Moparts who does front end work, that was saying the McQuay Norris stuff is good. I don't know anything about them other than that. Hope it helps.
