Yupp...He did mine the same as Jim Van Zees..I talked to Jim and have a little more cam,cubic inches and compression than his Challenger. His does 6.17 in the 1/8th..

I had Radar put all new springs,etc. on. The damned money pit just keeps getting deeper!!

Ted just remember to WEED out suggestions from cars that sit in the garage 95% of the time or those from guys that do lots of change-outs. The small difference in price and the fact that you will want them to last forever should lead your direction.

I have never broken a street gear and hope I never do .
I have been running OEM 3.89 gears for hundreds of passes .
3345 lbs
trans break
Spool
35 spline axles.
aluminum strange center section
launch on first stage nitrous
1.36 60 ft
8.95 at 157mph

Same here.. Street Gear.. 3000# Barracuda.. leaving @ 5800-6200 with a P/G and a brake.. 9.40's to 8.70's (1.23-1.30 60') always a street gear 9" Ford.. No breakage ever. Broke low gear sets before though..

As a matter of fact, the only gear that ever went bad in any of my cars was a pro gear..

Thanks so much,fellas! I had a pretty bad day...But it is getting better! For as many passes as I put on this thing,maybe the standards will work ok...
