The stock throttle cable on my '64 Savoy isn't long enough with this engine swap; needs to be 24" or more (total length), and the '64 uses the same folded clip on both ends of the cable that's on the carb end on the later cars.
I know there's an aftermarket cable but I'd prefer a stock-looking one of possible, and for some reason, I'm thinking a Slant 6 cable.
Suggestions?

Steve, I believe you're correct about the slant 6 cable being the longest. I used a repro max wedge or hemi cable on my B motor with a mid-rise manifold.

Early /6 cable if you can find one. Reproductions should be available.

I used a 73 Dart /6 cable on my 65.I used the pedal end from the 65.It runs a M1 intake with a Dominator.Works great and was free as we scraped the Dart.I still have to hit one junk yard that had a few /6 Darts there.Rocky
