Is there an old post, or site, I can go to to see which horn pad is correct for various mopars with a tuff wheel. The one horn pad is hard plastic and the other is slightly fatter and padded.

Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

I had an early 72 car that had a padded one.

Hi,

That is probably correct but only up to a certain year. I have a few non-black Tuff wheels, i.e. red, blue and tan, that have a padded centre in the matching colour.

Mike.

Just to throw a wrench into the works - there are 3 different styles of padded caps

Black - early 70s
Black - Volare era
Colored - Cordoba/Mirada/300

Both styles of black padded caps have a raised seam where the side vinyl meets the top and the joint is about 90 degrees

The early black caps have a much more pronounced joint than the later ones and IIRC some slight differences in the plastic

The colored caps have a baseball type stitch and the transition from side to top is much more gradual and curved

If I still have pictures (and can find them) I will post them up for reference

Correct that is the right 71 & early 72 cap, very hard to find, at least it took me several years.
