Anyone have trouble removing the front shocks on a '69 B-Body? Car is the R/T convertible with factory sway bars. The lower end of the shock did not want to come out of (or go back into) the lower control arm?

Yes, I have had them very difficult. but have always got them! compressing the shock and working it front to back is how it worked for me. not a lot of room. I will be removing the origional shocks on my 69 Coronet this winter, as I have a new from end kit ready to install.
Good luck!
Kevin

The sides are usually crushed pretty good so,just slip in a screwdriver underneath and pry upwards.it will come out also spray some silicone in there to help ease it out. Hope this helps.

I was thinking the location of the stock sway bar mount may have crushed the lower control arm around the shock area? I was able to pound the old shocks out using a long extension through the center of the LCA. I used an adjustable wrench over the shock mounting area to bend it back a bit to make room for the new shocks.
