anyone ever run into a doortag being one month different from the build sheet, fender tag? I have a car built mid sept 9/69 and the door tag reads 10/69...any thoughts?

No you don't.

If all is correct your car was "SCHEDULED" mid-September, but assembled in October - the door tag was one of the last pieces put on the car during assembly. Can you share any specifics: SPD VON VIN? Do you have a b'cast sheet?

Since you didn't pose a question, I'll "assume" you have the answer you are looking for.

So, for some reason your car was delayed at least 2 weeks. Anything "odd" or "special" about the car? What are the first 7 digits upper right - LINE 1 of the b'cast sheet? HAMTRAMCK (B) or LA (E)?

The date on the tag & sheet is the date they hoped to build the car when the order was first entered into the system.

There is no way to know what date it was actually built.

But as Dan mentioned, the Mylar door sticker was one of the last items to go on the car, so it will reflect the actual build month.

If you have not done so yet, can you please look inside both front seat backs for broadcast sheets? You may find one or more for other cars. I do a lot of research in this area so I would love to see scans of any you find & a photo of your door sticker.
