what is normal rpm drop at shift point?i made some passes with the stroker motor this sat.and shifting at 6,000 rpm the rpm's didn't really drop off.i used the 4,200 conv. that was behind my 440 that was making around 550hp.this motor should 625@5,500,600tq 4,000.

My tranny has the Mopar low low gear set init so a standard gear set will be diffeent, my VDO playback tach shows right at 1400 RPM drop when shifting into 2nd gear at or close to 7300, it drops to 5800 RPM, the 2to 3rd gear drop is less, usually right at 1100 RPM. This is with a old T/A 8 inch SS/AH converter that flashes to 5400 foot braking it at 3700 RPM IHTHs
