Hi all

I,m triying to degree a Lunati cam and my question is about the cam chart, more precisely the part where it says:"The above centerline will make this cam 4º avanced".
Here is my cam chart:
http://www.lunatipower.com/CamSpecCard.aspx?partNumber=60303

Does this mean that i need to start setting the timming gear on +4º key?

I,m triying to do it following all the steps from this page http://www.lunatipower.com/Tech/Cams/HowToDegreeACam.aspx
and i,m gettin 49 º at 0.050 lift when i would have to be getting 7º!!

I don,t know whats the matter here,or what i,m doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.

You dial in the cam as they say. The 4* of advance will make up for chain stretch once the engine is run.

Also, those "timing figures at .050" are referring to the cam duration, not the opening and closing numbers. So check again and you'll probably see that the intake does start to open at 7*

The 4 deg advance is ground into the cam or rather how they place the dowel pin.

All things being equal if you line up the timing marks (in the o keyway) in theory it will degree in at 106 but timing sets can be all over the place so the need to check.

Sounds like you are a mile out somewhere did you do .100 and .050 before and after max lift to get the installed centerline.

I do them opening and closing @ .050 and the before and after max lift helps you catch major screw ups
