I looked through the tech pages but didn't find what i was lookin for. Can't afford to buy a restored wheel and i have a decent core that has some cracks. I run a body shop so I have all the materials to repair the cracks but my questions are what do i do to to get the wood grain and the right color of brown?

Last I heard, if you discuss this with the several steering wheel restorers on the www, they will say nobody can replicate the grain. Going price is about $500, smooth, without any grain, and you supply a good core.
