Any people on here run a Mighty Demon 850 downleg (NOT annular) carb? What have your results been? Have you had to change the "tune up" from out-of-the-box to get decent performance? I know some of the other Demon carbs have had really screwed-up air-fuel curves as they came from BG.

Thanks.

i've been running one for a long time, and i love it. once i got all of the metal shavings out of it (it took a few tries, and it was EVERYWHERE), it worked very well, with only minor changes (mainly accelerator pump cams und shooters).

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

i run the 825,have done for a few years.lucky this one had no shavings in it but the base to body gasket was turned about 15 degrees.i have changed to bigger squirters and the more jet.seems to like a very wide spread on the jetting on my motor.
i have tried back to back against a prosystems hp1000 based carb, very little in it maybe 2-3 hundredths and a little more mph.
i have been quite happy with it.
don't forget these are bigger than the same number holley iirc.

The BG mighty demon 850 down leg has the same specs as the demon 1000, the 1000 demon with annular boosters is 850 or 825 or 830... .... the venturi and base plates are the same but the boosters and jetting can be different, I found OTB settings were off for most of our combos but once you dial them in they work fine, for WOT racing you need to fool with the hi speed air bleeds along with the jetting. some of their carbs are full of trash & some are clean I only tune for WOT so its not too hard to figure out, I can see where a street car with a full fuel curve could be a pain
