How far from the floor board should the pinion snubber be on a 66 Charger with a Dana rear?

It depends on what you're doing with it. For drag racing, no more than 1" to limit axle windup. Plating the hit spot is a good idea. For normal street driving, 2 to 4" depending on susp travel. Super stock springs don't compress much over bumps. Stock springs will compress more, needing more travel distance for snubber.
