I've already picked up new rod bolts for my 452's rebuild-in-progress since I figured they'd been through four (re)builds. Well, the same history applies to the ARP main studs. Should I put some new ones in there, or would you expect that quality main studs have a longer service life than rod bolts?

Thanks!

EDIT: Before anyone asks, no, I don't have any pre-installed lengths to compare against today's lengths.

My main studs came from my 360 14+ years ago and I changed my rod bolts on last freshen and those were about 13 years old........

Yeah, I'm thinking the main studs aren't exactly a high-wear item and should be OK for another go. I'm just looking to cover my bases and not do anything OBVIOUSLY stupid this time...

Brad, I like to use the rod bolt stretch gauge on my rod bolts, once they stretch more than .001 from original I toss them, if I can find the data sheet on that motor If not I iwll try to stretch them at the proper torque and if the torque and stretch like they should I may reuse them one more time. On the main studs I reuse them as long as they torque up properly, not feeling like there over stretching
