Back around 2005 I had to remove a drivers door handle that broke. Discovered the alarm switch came off, finally got it running the next day. My problem is the car got hit in the l. rear quarter and I drove it for about a week. When I took the battery out, the alarm disabled the fuel pump (or whatever it does). So... now I get in close the doors-hood-hatch and short the green/black wire to disarm it and it fires and quits. The lights stop blinking so I thought it's disarmed.
Can I run a jump wire to keep the fuel pump relay on, or just find all the door switches and wire them all together to stop it from killing the engine. Will a bad alarm box cause this also? Please help,
if you guys don't know... nobody does!

I've never seen one with a factory alarm, but the only 92 I've ever worked on was my brother's. Try the forum over at turbo-mopar.com or turbododge.com?

I would assume that that alarm switch was on the back of the lock operated by the tail peice. If it is a factory alarm, (are you sure?)I would just rotate it with a screwdriver & turn it off. Some of the early ones & this is a early one! You had to turn the key in both doors & some times the trunk to get the alarm to go off, may need to do this several times.

I would be wary about shorting any wires together, you may end up with a larger problem.

You may be able to take a fuse out & shut off the alarm but it may have other things on the same fuse.

Some vehicles have an inertia switch on the electric fuel pump. If a collision trips the switch, the pump will not run until the switch is manually reset. I don't know if this applies to your '92, I'm just throwing this out there.
