Looking for some feedback from those that have used hemi world blocks. I thought I heard some bad things when they came out but I don't remember anything specific. Thank you- Jon

i bought 1 from barton 6 yrs ago. lots of casting flash inside the block. the groove for the rear seal was machined off center to the crank. rear seal leaked constantly. chrysler wanted that block back & sent me a new block. it had no cast flashing inside.

I don't have one buyt from what I remember from reading on here, is that the main studs are cheap chinese studs, although the nuts are ARP. The recommendation from what I remember is to replace the studs with legit ARP stuff, as the chinese stuff was found to stretch to much and not torque/yield properly

I had to clearance the area where the starter bolts on for my power master starter to fit properly. As stated above I had to buy new arp main studs for my build. Barton did my 528 and he told me I had to buy new main studs as the ones they came with were inferior junk.

I bought and built a new World block 4.180 unfinished bore block several year s back for a local cutomer at his insistence, I wanted to use a 4.490 bore unfinished block I put a 4.250 stroke Ohio Crankshaft CO crank in it, 7.100 long rods and Diamond pistons for pump gas, Mopar crate motor single barrel four dual plane inatek and, I beileive, a 850 Demon or Hollet D.P. carb. he had the carb and air cleaner and they put them on after the motor was in the car. I wasn't aware of the stud problem and don't remember having problems with them torqueing properly He's been beating on it pretty hard for several years now and no come backs yet I ahev a older World Block, I think it is,maybe a earlier mega block for another project in the future, I hope it has good studs in it If not they will get replaced

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
