Is that a 9" or 8 3/4... they make a plate that bolts
on that shows you the centerline of the pinion...
I got my 9" one from S&W but other places sell them.
I made a tool that mounts in the #5 main with a laser
that I trued in the lathe... I point the engine right
at the pinion... then later you can dial in the pinion
angle

The plate is about $20(sort of a rip off) but if
you need it, you need it..... and you do plus it
makes it alot easier... I just use the bronco carrier
(which has 1 more rib in it) and the better support...
plus you want/need a back brace

The alum one is plenty strong enough... what do you
figure the TOTAL weight to be(on the track)... the
steel/iron one is alot cheaper but heavier

The alum center will work fine... if you want to pay
the price.... the plate for the diff from S&W is
95-019 for 19.95... it nice .. shows the axle C/L
as well as the pinion C/L with a slot cut in it for
a tape measure to hook in... I tried to get it on their
web site but it doesnt show it(their web site sorta
sucks) so you would need to call and get their catalog
610-498-7303..... or 800-523-3353.... they have a
bunch of brackets and tabs you might need also...
pretty decent on price also... I buy all my brackets
and stuff like that from them(cheaper than me making them)
