I HAVE A CLAY SMITH MECHANICAL PUMP FOR A SMALL BLOCK I AM THINKING ABOUT PUTTING ON , HOWEVER THERE IS A CAST IRON NIPPLE STICKING OUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CYLINDER BLOCK THAT IS INTERFEREING WITH THE FUEL PUMP CAN IT BE CUT OFF AND ALSO THE RADIATOR HOSE IS RUBBING ON THE PUMP. ANY ADVICE GUYS?

To use that pump you will have to cut off the block protusion (won't hurt a thing) as well as modify the water pump neck by cutting it off and moving it slightly and rewelding it.

Or put a 69 water pump on it. This moves the WP inlet to the other side of the crank.
