Got a 70 cuda in the shop that I did not strip and I was wondering if anyone has one of those engineering buletins showing the correct location for the black out along the lower rocker panel. Thanks.

Thanks. The owner had it stripped to the turning point of the rocker. The black on this car seems to run about 3/4 into the flat part of the bottom of the rocker. Also of note this is an F8 car and the black is no doubt factory. The note with the diagram states not needed on F8 colored cars. Just goes to show never say never.

I have an early build 70 Challenger R/T that is EF8. It has the cowl black out and rocker blackout. The front end was removed due to a previous accident, so I can't comment on the grill blackout.

According to the engineering print, B7 & F8 were added to the omission paint note on 7/31/69. It may have taken a while for the print to hit the paint shop.
The print also notes that the cowl blackout requirement was omitted on 4/27/70

I know the FAD states about overspray but it sure looks like some originally had the rocker paint applied {or gone back over} by a brush....

I've even seen it on black cars.

does this mean a december 1969 f8 car would have NO rocker, rad support, windshield frame blackout but should have cowl black out?
