Attached is a picture of my engine. I have by-passed the heater core and have routed hoses in a haphazard way. I need to get this resolved so that I can enjoy the car more.

I ran a small section of hise from the outlet under the t-stat housing to the larger w/p inlet on the right. This small section is kinked and more than likely keeping the engine hotter than it should be. The smaller inlet on the left was capped.

What is the proper way to route these lines?

Thanks.

Trim a little of one or both ends till it no longer kinks. Are you using a preformed hose?

Ok if I understand what you are saying above,
then yes the L shaped hose which is call bypass hose goes from right below the t-stat housing to the larger fitting on the water pump. You might have to trim say 1/2" off the bottom of the hose to make it fit better and without any flow restrictions.

Now, the smaller fitting on the water pump is for your heater core. If you are not going to hook up your heater core then yes, block it off. If you are then it goes to the heater core and the other hose from the heater core goes into a fitting on the intake next to the t-stat housing.

Silver and gold is interesting, haven't seen that before.

The large hose from the intake to the water pump should be operable. It is not the heater hose but the bypass hose allowing flow during warm up while the stat is still shut to avoid cavitation. you can just plug off the small nipples on the intake and water pump. They are for the heater flow.
