I believe that all 1971 HemiCuda's do not have / never came with wheel lip moldings. I have yet to see an original build sheet listing wheel lip moldings on a 1971 Hemicuda.

Thats the problem, they have one in the add. Must be available . NOT!!

I remember one very well known restorer telling me the car in question came with them because the holes were there. Build sheet said something else.

My Hemicuda build date Oct 30 1969 has no hemi fender tag (Should not). Has its "original" Wheel Lip moldings that never were modified (should of been). My fenders are modified (All Original sheet metal).

I believe that all 1971 HemiCuda's do not have / never came with wheel lip moldings. I have yet to see an original build sheet listing wheel lip moldings on a 1971 Hemicuda.

Sounds like someone(on your 70) changed them at the dealer. Some of the modified moldings were rough. All were cut at Creative. No surprise with the dealer not knowing anything about the fender mods.

No way to tell for sure, why they are not modified like the fenders. I was only two years old when the owner took delivery. I only have pics from the car back before the repaint in the early 80's.

I am sure a few might have had a slight kink after they were cut and any dealer would have replaced them during the prep.I do know that every molding was checked before leaving Creative.
