adding a console to my x that has been taken out at one time. i am needing some pics and measurements to remount the brackets in the proper location. if anyone has some photo's that would be most helpfull. once again, thanks moparts

These are a few shots of a '68 Sport Satellite factory 4spd floor. The reference is to the pinch weld. In the first picture, the camera angle makes it appear as though the line of the tape and the bracket are not lined up, but they are. My other two cars came in between 4.25" and 4.5" on this bracket as well.

I don't have a picture of it, but I also referenced my GTX ('68) to double check as they all seem to vary somewhat. If you hook a tape measure to the left hand slot of the middle and rear brackets, you should get 29" to the pinch weld of the rocker panel. Also, if you have the console, it's a good idea just to tack the brackets in place and check the fitment the actual console before welding the brackets home. Hope this helps.

thanks that is very good pics and measurements too boot. appreciate the help and the other pic of the hump section, might have been close with the first pic but this one will get me over the hump, so to speak. thanks moparts
