anybody have any recommendations? over 95 percent of my road noise is coming from my trunk lid. I cant imagine chrysler sold it this way. Its like the top skin and bottom skin delaminated. Just keeps rattling when I hit bumps. I am thinking about using some gorilla glue to fill in the voids. Anybody have any recommendations? I will probably throw some damplifier pro underneath the trunk lid, but it doesn't fix the rattling top.

SEM makes a panel adhesive, the same type used in the manufacturing process. you'd remove the old blobs, marking their location, and then add new ones, and allow the panel to dry. look online for a video shoowing the sem product being applied.

The problem is that there are 4 body plugs to accesss this difference and the rest is all covered and therefore inacessable to things like seam sealers.

..probably the torsion rods are hitting.
..cut a piece of rubber hose lengthwise and slide it over one of the rods where they cross.
..just a thought

On my Challenger and Roadrunner I used the seam sealer that comes in the caulking tubes and a caulking gun. I put a piece of hose on the the tip of the caulk tube tip. I stuck the hose in the big holes in the frame of the underside of the trunk lid and made blobs of seam sealler about every 4-6 inches every place I could inside the frame. I was told I could use Big stretch exterior house caulk because it doesn't shrink but I had 2 extra tubes of seam sealer left over so I used them. It takes about 2 tubes to do 1 trunk but it works I'm sure the Big stretch caulk would work too. The seam sealer took a long time to harden up but I'm sure the Big Stretch caulk will too in that enclosed space.

Make sure you have the rubber insulaters on the trunk lid springs. The springs are the metal rods between the bottom of the back window and the front of the trunk lid they run side to side under there. I was missing one and it made a heck of a racket back there. I used a piece of thick rubber hose that I slit down the side to fit it over the spring rod. I can't remember what size the hose was.
