Well i sold my carter comp 750 carbs off my 73 dart and have started rebuilding my Holley list 4777-2 650 DP carbs.first question about discharge nozzle pump cams. Unless i missed it i cant find what color the pump cams are that come stock on the 650DP. the reason i ask this is because when i was tearing down the carbs to rebuild them, i noticed one base plate had the pink cams and the other one had clearish/green cams. just trying to set them up close to stock at first then tune from there. OK while i was on the Holley web site looking for the pump cam info. I found some info that says if you engine idles at 1000 rpm or more you are so posed to use the number 2 hole for the pump cam. Does that sound right?? also it said for a tunnel ram i should run 50cc pumps on both ends of the carb. right now i have a 30cc on the front and a 50 cc on the rear. no big deal on changing to the 50cc pumps, just don't want to change them if i don't have to. also i will be swaping out the stock main body's to the pro-form ones. thanks for any help or info you can help me with. thanks Mopar65

Well got everything put on the car and running some what.does not want to idle on its own at first. Also didn't mess with it much seeing it was 100+ out side. Still have to make a throttle cable mount and do more tuning because of the idle and i have a small bog right when you first blip the throttle. After that it revs up nice and crisp. Thanks again for the info guys. Can always use more. Mopar65

I always take the 50 CC pumps off and convert them back to 300 CC, adjusted properly 30 CC is all any single carb. motor should need, DP have two and tunnel rams have four Make sure you get all four cams the same color and location, I would start in the number one hole and go from there How much humidity is there where you race? I like small squirters,#28,31 and 32 or33 after learning I can make a motor have a starting line bog from having to much squirter,to big Do your carbs have power valves? If so check the idle vacume in gear and install a power valves rated 1 to 2 inches lower in vacume so you can keep the part throttle mixture lean and clean in the pits

Well, I went the other way, but on a pure race engine, 50cc pumps all around, convert the carbs to 4-corner idle circuits, get the Dominator style secondary idle speed adjusting arms, and plug the power valves. On a race motor, big cam lots of overlap, a tunnel ram has a real bad vacuum signal.

I mill the air horns off, block the power valves and sq jet 78-80 set the 4 mixture screws @ 3/4 turns out each.If you are running a trans brake no need to worry about the squirters.

thanks for the info guys.i am going with the pro-form main bodys so dont have to worry about choke towers etc.also going to plug the front power valve rear on these there is no power valve and square jet it at 80 for now.also my carb,s are only 2 corner idle. so what all does it take to convert them to 4 corner idle?? will set them at 3/4 though. my car does not have a trans brake.also my pro-forms came with 31 dish charge nozzles so i can just use the factory set up on the pumps? i mean 30cc in front and 50cc in rear? any guess wear to start out on the pump cams?? Any good carb shop can do it, actually you can do it yourself, it's not that hard. You do need a pair of primary metering blocks for that series of carb, match drill a couple of holes, and your done. Oh yeah, one more item, the air bleeds need to be installed on the secondary side.

thanks for the info. well i got the carbs all put together and i was wrong on two things. first i only have a 30cc pump in the rear not a 50cc. the rear plate is thicker than the front one but a 50cc pump will not work with it. second even though they look like different colors to me the pump cams have the same part number (330) so i am going to leave them for now. also i am going to run the carbs like they are for now until i can find some different metering blocks then i will be asking more questions lol. thanks for the help every one.Mopar65
