I bought a B body system 10 years or so ago and I hope is fits better than the A body system.
Anyone looking for an A body system and wants it to fit where the factory system was mounted better ask some questions before spending the money.
John sorry to hear that. I remember my buddy put a 3" TTI on his 68 Dart 383 car about 10 years ago and it actually fit good as I thought he would have problems with the 3" tailpipes. Ron

No need to apologize , you aren't responsible for the crap parts ...
My problem was because I ASSuMEd that it used the factory hanger locations. The mufflers have to hang off the back of the rear seat belts bolts that protrude thru the floor pan and the tailpipes make a turn inside the framerails after the gas tank and use a hanger mount that bolts to the holes that a person would use if they were going to be moving the springs under the frame rails to minitub the car.
I had a shop with a Mandrel bender make a headpipe because TTi doesn't make headpipes for original BB A body manifolds and he hadto cut off the back and cut off and rotate the fronts to get them into the stock location mufflers , it would have been cheaper to just have him make me a set of tailpipes from scratch.
I spent close to $900 for the exhaust when it was all finished.

Well, here's the back end of the 2.5 TTI header/x-pipe system I put on my 67 Barracuda. And no, the muffler brackets don't hang from the stock location, but everything fit. The kit included turn-downs, but I left them off and just put chrome tips on the end of the pipes because I like that look.
(I've replaced the shocks and rear bumper since this picture was taken.)

I have a factory big block GTS , mounting in the factory location is the ONLY option . 1967 A body was not available with dual exhaust.

I have Aluminum w2 heads with TTI 3" X pipe exhaust and 2 1/2" tail pipes. Everything fits great. I also have the springs under the frame rails. I had a drone with the super turbos. I added 12" Summit glass packs. No drone, but I lost 1.5 MPH at the strip. If I had it to do over, I would buy ultra flows insead of glass packs. That woul give me the same results as just the turbos without the drone.
I'm curious to see how the pipes run with springs under the rail , where did you put the rear hangers ?
Can you put up a picture ?
