& with the P6KW interior the door panels are also white. reproductions or original? Originals should have dates on the backside. Tag on rear seat will have a date.

Headliner looks new, sunvisors dyed, what interior parts look to be original & are white?

WAG but it looks like a prior owner changed all the white parts from "burnt orange".

I know the history for the car going back 10 years when it was on the west coast, it has been unchanged since at least that long. I'm looking to find a prior owner from that point (2002) and researching further.

Armrests, visors and headliner are NOT re-dyed, I already checked. The rear seat looks like an original skin and hog rings but the fronts were redone for sure. The visors could be replacements, I have to pull them off and compare them to my other car.

I may "de-skin" the rear seat and look for anything printed on the backside. Doesn't take long and nothing to put it back.

This would now be the third vehicle I have seen with this combo.

I'm inclined to think my car has the wrong color seats but then again why go to the trouble of changing some many other parts and leaving the rest? With such a late production date I'm going to do a lot more research before spending a few grand changing things "back" its very possible this is the way it left the plant back in 1970.

I'll take pics and post in a bit.

Oh and the seat belts? 26th week of 70 for the front, 27th week for the rear.

There is no fender tag pictured with the above link so who knows what is correct? Also it has an orange headliner where yours is white, without seeing the tag who knows what is and isn't correct in that one .

Gary have you seen the tag from your other example? Also yours looks wrong with orange door panels and white armrests.

Is the headliner original to the car or has it been replaced? 40+ year old white headliners are rarely that "white". The sunvisors have been dyed/painted - the metal ends were originally chrome.

Looking close you are correct (sorry, I was in a hurry when I looked)

Peeling back the area around the stitching and seams shows... white.

The real question I'm trying to figure out is did the car come this way or was changed over time? If the car originally had a complete burnt orange interior then I'll change it back. Or did it come this way from the factory? Very possible considering it was the last day of production and a sales bank car to boot. As a former Chrysler line tech I have seen my share of assembly line goof ups.

I have pictures and contact info coming from 10 years ago, I'll keep digging. At some point the car got a decent paint job and minor body work so there is a shop somewhere that knows some of the cars history.

If only a build sheet was with the car!

Gary , there is a 13k mile RR in the WIW section that is on ebay with an ornage and white interior and it is not the same as yours , unless you have proof positive that the factory put that interior together completely different tan any other car with the same 2 tone interior it's been changed. it would be one thing if the car was coded for a 2 tone interior but it's not.

The car with original Flowmaster exhaust, chrome speakers in the doors and aftermarket springs?

I'm not claiming the car came original with whats in there, just trying to figure out whats right for this car. Short of a build sheet or pictures from when the car was delivered that's going to be tough.

Yes , that car, that is what a factory white and burnt orange should look like, minus the speakers of course.

If your car were factory then someone must have been doing it to just use up parts that fell out of other cars going down the line ???

Was a white headliner even available in 1970 ? What about your visor , they have been dyed as Dan pointed out , the chromed clips are painted white .

1) The chart someone posted indicates white headliner was available.

2) I already pointed out that I peeled back the seams & stitching on the visors and they are white (which someone resprayed a different hue of white)

I see that a black and white interior got a white headliner, nothing else, and I didn't realize you were talking about the visors but considering the visors don't have VINs.

Is the car a low mileage unrestored survivor ?

My 70 GTX was built on June 25th, 1970 (625) and is burnt orange with burnt orange interior and black seat belts, from the factory.

They must have run out of burnt orange seat belts around this time and just used black to finish out the model year.

Anyone have a late build burnt orange interior with burnt orange seat belts?

Black seat belts were std with all interior colors, to get color coded seat belts you need the deluxe seat belt upgrade code C15

No burnt orange seat belts unless you got the deluxe belts C15. Burnt orange interior came with standard black belts. Standard belts came in black, blue, green & tan only.
