Went to a car show today.Car was almost out of gas so I stopped and put 10 gallons in.Drove 25 miles with the AC on,car raan fine.Sat at the show all day,left,fired right up,came home 25 miles.4 hours later ,drove 3 miles to the store and when I got there it died like it was loading up.When I hit the key it would emediatly fire then die.It did it like 10 times and I limped it home.Died twice but fired right back up.Made it to the garage but could not back it in.It fires but wont stay running.There is a wierd burning smell like its rich??Bad gas??I have never put a fuel filter on in the 10 years I have owned it..I will change it tomorrow and see if that helps but its got me stumped???

Just went back out to the garage and there is a wierd burnt smell throughout the garage.Almost like a clogged cat smell???

I'd start with a good visual & see if you spot anything obvious such as a burnt wire

Possibly a ballast going bad if you're running one?
