Can anyone school me on any high gear mods to help direct clutches to live longer, as well as firm up the 2-3 shift? I have a B&M Transpack stage 3 shift kit that shifts excellent 1-2 and 2-3 at lower rpms, but all out 2-3 shifts are soft. Pan is always clean as is the fluid.

When you say the shift is soft, is there rpm flare up at the shift?

If so, try removing the cup orifice in the case (if installed).

Not your typical flare up at all. Just real soft at full throttle. At lighter throttle, nice a clean.

My 904 in my 68' Coronet does the same thing on the 2-3 shift when you hit it hard. It's not a problem but it would be nice to have a firmer shift. At lower rpms the 2-3 shift is firm.
