I deal with the vacumm pods with my Daytona/Superbird repro parts and have dissected them...the pods (68,69 Charger & 70-2 airgrabber) all have the same rod stroke length, bolt pattern, body diameter, etc...the differences are PN#s obviously, but mostly the internal construction with regards to the size of the base/rod magnets used, the magnets are an assist in keeping the headlite doors open under low vacumm operation in a "standard" Charger, the 69 Charger pods were used in the 69/70 wingcar assys.....Charger specialties electric conversion is $450 IIRC...the airgrabber is a tight set-up, esp when the hood is closed, be sure you have the room for the offset electric motor application to activate the air door should you go this route,....engine heat should also be considered, and how it may effect the motor (now it's sitting above the engine) if it's ambient operating temp is 70-90 degrees, as are most DC motors,....repro vacumm pods are avaliable...

I kinda figured Ma Mopar would use similar, if not the same, actuator. Yeah, the offset is also what I'm not sure about. I believe Russ has a left and a right actuator, so I'll have to pick his brains to see which one might be a better fit.
The heat is a concern (but not a major one), as is the weight, since the hood is fiberglass, so I'll see what he has to say next week.
I sent him some pics, so we can talk apples and apples.

The vacuum actuators are very similar, but not quite the same. I'm not 100% sure of the differences right off the top of my head. Could run out the garage tomorrow morning and check if necessary. I think it's something like hose diameter and the location of where the hose goes on the actuator being different from Charger to air grabber. BUT, you can use a Charger vacuum actuator on a air grabber hood, but technically, it won't be correct if that sort of thing matters to ya'. I'm sure there are others on this board that know more details about this than I do.
The vacumm canisters/pods all use 5/32" vacumm hose, I think perhaps your thinking of the small vacumm reserve canister used on the airgrabber (I use to repro those as well) those use the 3/32" dia vacumm lines that go to the switch
IIRC the airgrabber canisters PN#35xxxxxx have the vacumm tube ports slightly clocked at a different angle,...but again as you said you can sub either pods between the 68/0-70-2 applications
