Redoing my dash and decided to convert my existing ammeter to a voltmeter. Ammeter is from a 70 b body rally dash. I swapped the guts from a Sunpro voltmeter ($17) into the ammeter assembly. Used an ammeter overlay from PCG since I couldn't find anyone making one for a voltmeter. I calibrated the new setup at 12V and 15V so i know where the readings are on the ammeter face. I also swapped an existing pointer so it matches all the other gauges.

It actually wasn't that hard. i saw a post online that did the same thing and bought the parts. once you take the voltmeter apart it's just the matter of figuring out how to make it fit the old faceplate. just wish someone made voltmeter overlays.

Says you.
Every time I futz with a guage, I mess up the coiled spring base of the pointer.
