Can someone check the thickness of a stock timing cover? Pretty accurate measurement is needed...better than just a tape measure if possible. Thanks! All I have here is the short deck Arrow cover and they are not as deep as a stock one.

I calculated 2.56, just looking for other numbers to back them up. Anyone else help us verify this?

I just went out out and measured a couple I have here. One is 2.486", the other one is 2.495". I also took a measurement of one on an assembled engine and got 2.522" but you would have to account for the compressed thickness of the .030" timing cover gasket. Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys. Looks like a nominal thickness of 2.50 with a pretty big tolerance allowance.

Thanks. That gives me even more confidence in the 2.500 nominal dimension.
