Hey would any of you know what I can do to help or stop my Hemi from ticking? only on the passenger side.. Some say it's the manifold, some say it's my valves and as far as just being a oil problem. I'm running a 5W30 full synthetic. Any info would be great Thanks...

Check your exhaust manifold studs, usually the rear studs will break.

A guy at the Dodge dealer I talked to told me everyone he hears clicks. Valve spring breakage is another issue

On a buddies 2010, he heard a noise and took back to dealership. They went through all kinds of stuff, but finally came down to the "noise reducing sleeves" that are around the valve springs. They are too tight and springs would rub on the sleeves, making the noise. Apparently earlier 5.7's didn't have these ?? Or had more clearance on them ??? Not sure, but check with your dealership . . .

Cheers

Mark

Okay I've owned two 5.7L Hemi trucks and I will tell you that they all tick due to the valvetrain geometry and setup. If you have a really loud tick that is pronounced when cold and it goes away after fully warming up then you probably have a broken exhaust manifold bolt. The OEM ones stink so it is broken I would try to see if ARP has some good quality ones. Other than that both of my trucks ticked via the valvetrain and I ran Mobil filters with their synthetic oil.
On a 2009 I wouldn't seafoam the engine or the fuel system.
