Well.
I have the vacuum switch back out for too hard to push buttons and thought I better fit it while the dash is out,

Anyway, the switch in the car has an electrical pigtail soldered on the terminals.
the NOS switch I have here does not.

Can I just un-solder the old wiring and solder it into the new switch or are the switches themselves different internally ?

anyone done it

These 5 wires? I removed from old switch with soldering gun, cleaned up connections, put shrink wrap on and soldered on to new switch. Key is to tin wire ends, flux well and have a hot tip and solder at the ready to as not to build up to much heat.
