Hey this might sound like a stupid question but what's the easiest way to bleed a cooling system. I just got my Hemi back from the dyno and put in my car and was wondering about that. The only way I thought to do it was to run the car with the cap off. Thanks

That usually is enough. You can also jack the car up from both ends to try and get trapped air out. Drilling a couple of 1/8" holes in the stat shell will help - along with "burping" ( squeezing ) the upper hose. Once the coolant gets up to temp and the stat opens, the air should bleed out without any help.

I dont use a stat... I like to go into the burnout
at 160 so if I leave the burnout and it opens while
sitting on the starting line... I dont want that with
E-85... I like the whole system to be one temp

Get a radiator pressure tester(you can borrow one from Autozone)put it on and pump it up to around 25 lbs and let it set over night,I like to let mine set 24 hours it will push all the air out of your system. After I found out how good it worked I went back and brought me a radiator pressure tester to keep in the shop.

Does your water pump/housing have a temp sending unit on top? If so, just crack it loose and listen for the air coming out. When you see water coming out, tighten it back up and you're done.

You can always drill a few holes in the thermostat if you do run one...that will bleed it out as you fill it up.
If you're not running a thermostat, it won't need to be bled out.

No. I'm not concerned about a fast warm-up and I want as much flow through the rad as possible ( reads least restriction ).
