OK, the last two I don't have figured out...TX9 and H6X9. Alaskan T/A, if I sent you the VIN do you think you might have any paperwork for this car?

Nothing on it yet, sorry. It is the first two-tone 440-6 1970 Challenger have heard of though. Has he searched it for broadcast sheets yet?

I can get some. It's apart right now and was modified to race. The owner is putting it back to original if he can. It was repainted blue and then pink with wild graphics and had a hemi in it when he got it. The entire interior was done in pink vinyl also. I would say the car was kept inside most of it's life as the sheet metal is awesome. Who ever raced it radiused the rear wheel wells for huge slicks. It's getting new AMD quarters and wheel houses to correct this issue. My friend bought the car in 2000 at the Nats in Columbus. He bought the car, the trailer it was on and the red 4wd dualie Dodge hooked to the trailer.
Wouldn't it be better to just repair the wheelhouses and openings instead of replacing the entire quarters?

I'm wondering---was the two tone (Black top paint) a cheaper option than vinyl top or not???? Somebody know?
Yes less than 1/2 the cost. Vinyl was around 85, painted top was in the low 30 range

Interesting, so it was a way to get the look (sorta) while saving a few 1970 dollars.

He said that he had been pricing a vinyl top for it because it had the moulding holes.
It has the moulding holes because it has the vinyl top mouldings to cover where the paint line is from the 2 different colors .
