yesterday in the junkyard i came across a 77 aspen with a moon roof. it looked original, had the crank up front to roll it back and it still worked! are these rare? should i go cut it out? it was a /6 car.

They are semi rare but not worth cutting out, ive one parts rig im sitting on just for the crank sunroof and have offered to give it away many times....other then parts....like the plastic gears in the crank setup that go south, not alot of demand.

My Volare has a crank moon roof. Kinda nice in the staging lanes...

If you could gut it for the parts, as was mentioned.

If you can get for a reasonable price, grab it, even for parts. People are always looking for good manual sunroof crank handles and hardware.

yes, I just bought one for one of my Magnums, plan to do a swap over when restoration time comes. Got the whol roof for $50 from a member here.


Who knows, I might have to get pieces/parts!
