Not being familiar with big blocks, I have a question regarding the valley tray and intake manifold area...

There's the valley tray, secured with 2 bars front and rear and was there then insulation kept in place with 2 sheet metal pieces front and rear? What was the insulation and does anybody reproduce the sheet metal piecs or is the a template available? Thanks in advance.

ps engine in question is a 1970 440 with an Edelbrock Performer 440 intake.

The insulation was a real oil collector, I don't think anyone repos it. The front sheet metal piece would be super easy to make if you had a pattern. you have a non stock intake so I wouldn't sweat not having them.

Okay Thank-you!

So there was just the one sheet metal piece?
