I was out driving my car tonite and it ran fine,but as it warmed up the idle rose to 1400,i drove it last week and it idled fine then tonite out of the blue it starts idling high and i didn't change nothing,it disieled when i shut it off, I 'm running a 6 pac. THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE EDDIE B

first thing that comes to mind is maybe your outboard carbs are not closing completely. check your linkage and that the throttle plates work freely on the outboards (engine not running). never run a sixpack with the outboards not connected to the center carb and the vacuum line connected. another thought is maybe the distributor is not returning to the intial timing. recheck your intial setting to see if it is the same as when installed.

My six pac is a mechical set up.
