Iv noticed there is a few differnt ones
the ones on the indy hipo or the other indy heads differnt port then say stock 69-70 head
raising the floor..... Is just the floor of the exh. Raised or is the whole port raised?
Wouldnt a more square port flow better then a flatish oval(for lack of better word lol)port then some of the heads have?

The smaller ports on the HEMI heads create a faster air flow and more vacuum of the cylinder intake ports. Believe it or not, this is one of the weak points on a stock HEMI head. Thoise big square ports are great fo rblown engines, but not so good fo rnaturally aspirated engines. Look at any pictures of what the SS AH builders are doing. Raising the exhaust ports to create a faster air flow and more vacuum to help speed up the intake charge.
IF you go to Indy's web site they list the HIPO head as having stock header location. My brother just got a set of the TTI headers for his HIPO heads and they do look like they would work with a stock head as well.

So the port being shorter still use same header?
