No sense jumping through all the hoops unless its deeper in the 9's, which would probably make the car harder on parts. I like my thin firesuit. Mick, the car actually hooks well on most tracks without the weight. I'd be interested to see if it's still needed with the seat being moved back 4" from last year. We just had the lead in it to make it more consistent on a bad track. Like my Dad said don't think 42 lb should hurt it much if its not having any problems now.
