Can anyone tell me where I can get a 1970 340 six pack idle stop solenoid rebuilt? Worse case, where can I buy one?
Thanks in advance

Yours should be a DR1114429 (stamped into the outer casing). Unfortunately these are rare and expensive even as used parts ($400-500.00 on average). I have one here on the shelf owned by a customer who wants me to sell it for him, if you can't find one, it's top dollar.

If yours is an original and still functions and you want it restored I can do that for you. If it does not function and you want it restored I can also help you but it gets more complicated. You would need to provide me with another good working unit that I can swap out the internals from into your outer casing. Any solenoid with the same shape outer casing will work, different part# is ok, used or NOS is ok, as long as it still functions. The reproductions on the market have weaker internals and are not reccomended as parts donors or anything else.

Tonys had one listed for $300 a while back. better grab it if he still has it. it took me 2 years to find one for my lowly 71 340 4 hole.

I agree with Scott, I bought a repro and am on the third unit as the coil seems to be very weak.
