one stopped 2-3 yrs ago, 2nd stooped today. tried new batteries. what needs to be done to get new ones.

Use the key. That's what I do. Not spending $60 (or whatever it is now) for a new fob, and $60 for dealer programming.

Turn the key once to lock that door, twice in the same direction to lock all doors - at least that's how it works on the Durango.

you any good w/ a soldering iron & printed circuit boards? it might be something you can fix easily, on one of mine, the soldered contact joints of the clip that holds the battery broke free from the board causing a non functioning situation. i carefully disassembled the fob & re-soldered it, & it has been working for at least a yr now. this in on a '06 magnum though, dakotas might be totally different.
