For those that have installed one did you use some kind of bracket to install it or did the standard stereo basket fit the space okay?

I was able to use the standard basket, it attached to the plastic perfectly.

It'll fit the dash opening...Add a stud on the back of the new unit and fasten it to the dash frame..{Just like they were originally}...You may need to use a universal metal strip instead of the factory piece between the new unit and the dash frame...

.................BUT you may have to trim around the plastic lower dash frame on most E-Bodys to get the aftermkt radio face trim to fit. I usually have to sand back the corner about 1/8 to 3/16 with a dremel to get the face to fit.

True, it's been so long I forgot about that.
Make sure you look for a radio with a super thin bezel if possible.

I put mine in without the outer bezel, now that most radios are flat faced and then you do not have to modify the lower dash plastic bezel
