There are two or three window trim clips around the rear window (lower corner) without a mounting stud to attach to....rusted/broken off. Is there an easy fix for this? A long time ago there was some kind of way to rivet the clip on, but I think it was a kit or something?? I know an option is to permanantly attach the trim with 2 part epoxy at the place missing the clips, but would rather do it as close to original as possible. Any suggestions?

Sure... Maybe you could tell us the year and make of the car in question?

It may be necessary to remove the glass to get the clips in place. There are complete clip sets available from many different vendors.
Good luck.

Upon further inspection....there are NO clips along the bottom of the window for the molding. Apparently the two trim pieces were urethaned in before! I need a better way to attach my trim.

I really would rather NOT remove my rear window. I was hoping to avoid that and just find a way to put them in without removal, but I guess not. Damn!

I have seen many A bodies with sillycone around the glass edges in a terrible attemp to keep water out. Sometimes the leaks are from poor wiper pivot seals, NOT the windshield.

Read my initial post....I am NOT talking about the windshield! I'm talking about the rear window.
