I got a new Power master alt for my birthday. Well the one i have been running is a single field unit. The new one is a dual field unit. I says you can use it but to run a jumper wire from one field connection to a ground stud on the alternator. There is one little stud and nut on it that goes to nothing......is that the one youre supposed to ground it to? .Joe

If the stud is attached directly to the alternator housing it can be used as a ground.
