Most of us do the opposite as I have done myself. But I have a B body project that needs the conversion to power.

Whats the best route, New/Used ? Money is not really a problem. I see Flaming river Only sells the new Manuel steering boxes.

The car is a 67 Plymouth Satellite/ Thanks mike

you will need a new column.

for the gear box, just pick up a reman or one from firm feel or steer and gear.
you will have to eat the core charge.

power brakes, the kit from master power brakes was pretty easy to put in, but from what I understand if you can find any b body with power brakes you have a good donor.

just depends on if you want new or you can scavange parts.

What he said and..

IF you get parts from a donor car remember the Power brakes used a belcrank system so the pedal didn't attach to the master cylinder with a single rod like the manual cars did. You will need that whole system not just the master cylinder.

I have a core that you can have for $20 then take it to Autozone and order a reman Box. I have had one on my Satellite for 5 years and had no problems with it.

You can shorten the steering shaft and reuse for the conversion. You'll need to drill new holes and use nylon screws to retain the collapse feature. I just did this going the other way, power to manual.

but so many people are going the other way, I think it would be easy to find someone to trade you straight up for a power column.

Thanks for the info!

I really dont want to change out the column if I can get around it. I dont know if there would be alot of similer B columns available.

I may do the fab trick as suggested.

Im thinking i want new as I dont want to search or scavenge for some 40 year old parts.

RBsat 66, PM me your contact info for the core. I will check to see what the auto stores charge for the cores.

On the PB,s thanks for post about the lever assembly. I have a used PB 73 A body one complete from my Dart Sport. I wonder if I could use that.

If not I may suggest the kit from MPB for the project.

I can Fab very well, but I would like this mostly to be a bolt in deal. The owner paid 10 grand for the car , so I dont want to change it to much. He needs the power conversions because of health issues. Thanks for everyones help, mike
