No, you can't use the same tool. We will have to make another one.

If you don't mind me asking, How are thay made?
I was allways a fan of that show how it's made.
My wild guess is the stainless is rolled threw a tool like is used on a gutter machine for a home just smaller.
And the notches for the clips are cut before this is done. The the ends of it are pressed closed

Alright, here's a few pics of the B/E & A hood trim next to an NOS drivers side headlight bezel (slight shelf wear).

The reflection on the B/E & A chrome is a little more crisp than on the NOS piece.

I'd say it's a pretty darn close match! After seeing this, I don't think I'd hesitate to put the B/E & A pieces on a car with NOS pieces.

restored original pieces are not NOS, so their finish may vary from what is pictured here.

So, to review...

In this picture below (used original on left, B/E & A in middle, metro on right) you can see that there is a difference in the finish of the B/E & A vs metro pieces.

The metro piece more closely resembles the finish on the 40 year old used piece.

The B/E & A piece more closely resembles the finish on the NOS piece pictured above.

I purchased the mouldings from B/E&A for my 73 Challenger. I was at the bodyshop this weekend and looked at them for the first time. They are more shiny than origonal but look amazing. I held one of the pieces up against the new quarter panel(Goodmark) and it fit great.

I know that pictures have been posted of the 1970 pieces but I thought I would let everyone know that the 71-74 pieces look to fit very well also.
