have a friend with a 68, all stock including exhaust manifolds. the cam is wiped, at least 2 lobes/lifters are bad. he is wondering if there are better than stock grinds out there, that will still give the same idle and driveabilty, but some better performance, and also keep the stock springs.

anyone have any thoughts?

Considering he is into a total rebuild because of the metal contamination, have him contact Chase Knight on here, he is a Crane cams rep. for a recommendation. I would run a solid roller with 66550-16 oil feed lifters and use pushrod oiling. No more wiped cam lobes and better performance. Tim
