hi,

i'm just getting around to installing the 3/8th vent line from the tank to the breather. there is a section of line that comes up from the along side the frame rail up inside the engine compartment, and the rubber hose from the breather connects to this.

i have reproduction fuel lines from fine lines, and to this point they fit really well. i'm wondering about this last section though, as where it goes around and underneath the frame rail it seems to stick out a little far from the frame rail. doesn't contact anything, so should be fine, but still wondering.

anyway, the real question is attaching this section of the line. there is one clip on the car that looks like it is for this, but only one. up along the inner fender there is a hole very close to where this line runs, but the clips i got from fine lines are too big to fit that hole.

was wondering if anyone could give me a description of where and how this line is held in place, or has some pictures.

thanks!

Not sure on B body but E body the top attachment is a tab clamp with a hex head sheet metal screw.. And as I mentioned in the other post the tank line is 5/16"

there are two tab clamps with the kit, but they are oval and larger than 3/8", and there is not rubber grommet or anything to take up the space. the hex head screw is also much larger than the hole in the fender.

will see if any b-body people chime in!

It will be a while before I dig out my 6bbl la road runner but here's some pictures of a gtx I took years ago for another member. Sorry for the poor quality, I think it was a 2mb camera!

thanks, i appreciate it! those are good enough to give me a general idea, and bill at a&m told me it is a metal loop strap and sheet metal style bolt that hold it on there, so i should be able to get something going here.
