V194 OP master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 3,109 SC	Since they are chrome with paint in the recessed areas I would like to blast them but will any blasting media degrade the chrome? Can one use glass bead or soda (baking soda) and keep the chrome undamaged?

To re-paint it I just sprayed the whole thing with spray can black. Before it cures all the way I rubbed the emblem accross a rag on a hard surface. I used OMNI MS251 paint gun cleaning solvent but paint thinner will work too. Just put a little bit on the rag and don't fold the rag. Then let the emblem dry and install.

I never have good success with stripper because it never comes out of the crevices completely, It tends to build up in tight corners.
