BIGSTROKER OP enthusiast B Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 281 NEW HAMPSHIRE AND MAINE	ok all you valve train experts here's the question i have a 440 base 493, victor heads, .600" solid roller and hughes rockers. my scrub centerline is .020 low towards the exhaust ports if i install a .080 lash cap would it raise the scrub mark or lower it

Vernon, Ohio	depend's on where you are in the radius of the rocker travel,but more than likely would raise it, I would be more concerned where the roller is in mid and full lift Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

Use a file or stone to reduce the beat up top part of the valve stem so the lash caps will slide on and off the valve stems easily Last edited by Cab_Burge; 03/13/12 10:46 PM.
